Organism Interactions (2-Day Lesson Plan)
Project Based Instruction
7th Grade Life Science
Below you can find an original and revised version of the 2-Day Lesson plan.
This lesson plan about organism interactions and the relationships between organisms was very intensive and included many components such as grant writing, field trip planning, a rubric, parent letter, calendar and outline, concept map, etc. To view a detailed version, please go to this website that was created which has versions that you can download.

Developing of the Periodic Table and Classifying its Elements.
Classroom Interactions
10th Grade Chemistry
This lesson will take this previous knowledge they acquired about the individual elements; their components such as protons and electrons, and how to properly read each element in order to solve for electron configurations. Then, material about the organization and classification of the periodic table, such as the s-, p-, d-, and f- blocks, the metals, nonmetals, and metalloids, and the families the groups and periods are organized in.

DNA Transcription & Translation
Step 2
7th Grade Life Science
Students will be presented the material through different media via visual aids, auditory, and hands-on demonstrations. Students will work in groups to investigate the process of DNA transcription and translation through hands-on mock assembly

Fossils
Step 2
7th Grade Life Science
Students go to several stations where they dig up fossils. Then make a sketch of the fossil as well as which station the fossil came from along with a description of the fossil. Using this information, along with a reference sheet, the students should determine which geologic time period each station was.

Speed Rockets
Step 1
4th Grade-Science
Students will learn about the laws of motion and will test them by using stomp rockets to investigate and describe the speed of an object that is determined by the distance it travels in a unit of time and that objects can move at different speeds.

Got Curds
Step 1
4th Grade-Science
Students will take a look at the Law of Conservation of Matter by making their own curds. They should be able to identify the basis of a chemical reaction and they will be able to distinguish between a chemical reaction and a physical change. Students will also recognize that materials may change form but they retain the same amount of matter.

Get Ready for the Pitch
Step 1
4th Grade-Science
Student will be using containers filled with different amount of water that are different colors in order to help identify the difference between a low pitch and a high pitch. Through the lesson they should be able to explain why mass affects the frequency of a pitch and ultimately relate sound with energy.
